Absolutely, that is exactly the intent to provide a ride for cyclists. Members are volunteers the day of the ride supporting your ride.
Yes. We recommend 12 years or older and MUST be accompanied by a parent who is required to sign that child's registration form

Yes, of course!
During the ride on all segments we will having roving SAG (support and gear) vehicle on the road checking for riders who need assistance, usually a flat tire. Please bring 2 spare inner tubes that fit your tires.
A support phone number will be supplied with the ride cue sheet. Hang on to the cue sheet even if you just follow other riders. The number belongs to a person who will dispatch a SAG vehicle to help you or to drive you back to Barrington High School if your bike is disabled. You must know what road you are on for us to find you.
There will be a bike repair person at the starting point for minor bicycle adjustments. Repair is not there for major repairs or tune-ups so please make sure your bicycle is ready before the ride to ensure an enjoyable and safe ride.
Yes can use trailers such as a burley on the route. There is no minimum speed although all rides must be off the route by the advertised times.
The ride is held rain or shine, cold or hot, no matter the weather conditions. Decide for yourself if you are concerned whether the weather is suitable for your riding.
Follow the Illinois Rules of the Road for Cyclists. Ride single file on busy streets. Of course you can safely double up on neighborhood streets for conversation, but please no riding 3 and 4 abreast for reasons of safety. Please no headphones or earbuds.
