In his play The Tempest, William Shakespeare wrote: "What's past is prologue".

The suggestion that our past sets the context for our future is discussed by historians, philosophers, sociologists, and others.

Family history is discussed over dinner tables around the world.

AHBC is no different, we are a family and remember our past and our ancestors. We talk about those who have moved away from the northwest suburbs and those who have passed away.  We talk about their lives, contributions to the club, and their families.  They all are important to us and have laid the foundation for the club  to have existed for 50 years and into the future.

Many club rides have a lunch stop either in the middle of the ride or at the end. Food is a staple of our existence whether it be on a scheduled ride, at the annual banquet, the annual picnic, a rest stop on the Arlington 500, food shared by members volunteering at the Swap,  following the twice weekly bakery rides,  or gelato stop after an evening ride.

The sharing of food is the time we often remember everyone with admiration and humor.
