What you need to know about Ebikes
Electric assist bicycles, or ebikes, are growing in popularity because it makes it easier to ride farther and faster with less effort. Battery and motor technology are rapidly evolving and versions have been introduced into bike share systems like Divvy and more and more people are purchasing their own ebikes as a way to get around. We will learn what is an ebike, the various classes and technologies, the advantages and disadvantages, and if it is, as some cyclists think, cheating. The speaker will be Sharon Kaminecki who is an ebike enthusiast and bike retailer.

Covid-19 Policy
Effective: February 11, 2011
For those who have been waiting to post and lead rides for the Arlington Heights Bicycle Club, here are the latest guidelines as adopted by the Board.
1. A newly revised sign-in sheet has been posted on the cyclearlington.com website. All ride leaders must download and use this revised sheet for upcoming rides.
2. All riders must sign the sign-in sheet before participating in a club ride.
3. Rides are currently limited to paid AHBC members only.
4. After a club ride, the leader is responsible for promptly sending the original ride sign-in sheet to the Ride Chair. The ride sign-in sheets are kept for 3 years, as they are official documents that the club needs to retain for legal reasons.
5. All other pre-2020 rules and guidelines for ride leaders continue to be in place.
